FAST FASHION IS AN UNETHICAL INDUSTRY. The fashion industry is becoming known throughout the world for unethical treatment of workers and harmful effects on the environment. The goal is to make mass quantities of clothes as cheaply and as quickly as possible. In Tegucigalpa, Honduras and surrounding areas, it is not uncommon for a woman to work a full time job and be paid less than two dollars per day.
SLOW FASHION IS BETTER FOR EVERYONE. We work with a group of seamstresses in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. We pay higher than fair wages and treat each seamstress as a valued member of our team. Because of the sustainable income they receive from sewing, our seamstresses are able to support their families while their children remain in school, breaking the cycle of poverty for generations to come. We also use sustainable fabrics that are better for the environment and for the people who produced them from cotton farmers to textile mill workers. When you shop with us, you're supporting sustainable employment and you're getting a much higher quality product. It's a Win-Win.
